Dear Melville Community,

After visiting the planning department today, we have been advised that the rezoning application by the owner of this property has been returned as it had several errors and was incomplete. This is a partial victory and we still need to see construction halted on site.

MRA Land Use will continue to monitor this case and will advise its membership base and the community if it becomes aware of a rezoning application on this property in order to facilitate objection.

349 people have signed the petition so far and we have also had word that the matter should be heard in court shortly but we need to continue to pressurise the city and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to halt the construction and demolish any illegal structures. Please keep writing to your councillor, mayor and spreading the word of the petition in order for us to raise the priority of this case:
