Happy new year, Melville Residents – best wishes for 2023!

The Melville Residents’ Association comprises a small committee of six dedicated volunteers, plus a handful of resident volunteers that give their time to several specific portfolios, including Land Use, Liquor Licences and Heritage.

We, like you, are passionate about our suburb and protecting its unique character. We are confronted on a daily basis with issues of safety and security, residents and businesses that are not complying with property use and building regulations, vagrancy and litter and a whole lot more.

But there are simply too many issues for so few people to manage and keep tabs on, and so in  2023, we hope to increase those numbers and revive active citizenry in the suburb. In addition to trying to hold all the city’s various institutions, departments and agencies to account, we would love to be able to organise more fun community initiatives!

We want to create a community that truly cares about and for itself!

If you can spare some time, please consider joining us – we are opening up all our monthly meetings for online participation (in-person participation has always been open, so please come along!), so you can connect on any of the dates below, see what we do and how you can participate.
